On 4 November 2019, the platform-neutral Token Taxonomy Initiative announced the publication of the Token Taxonomy Framework (TTF) V 1.0, to enable global businesses and developers to universally understand and define what a token is in non-technical terms, regardless of how it is implemented.   

Whether it is tickets, supply chain documents, stocks, property titles, loyalty points, or other products and services, the framework is the key to standardising token use across networks, globally.  This is key for companies and organisations who are spending a lot of time trying to determine how best to tokenise products and services.
